El Tigrillo Palma

El Tigrillo Palma is a regional Mexican artist from Sinaloa who specializes in corridos. Born Efr?n Aguilar in El Baral, Guasave, Sinaloa, he scored his first major hit with the narcocorrido "Los Chiquinarcos" in 2006. Originally featured on the album Pistiando con la Plebada (2006), the song was reissued by Univision on a number of subsequent compilation albums, among them the best-of collections Joyas de Coleccion (2007) and Los Corridos Favoritos del Jefe (2008). Other El Tigrillo Palma albums released by Univision include Por las Calles Enlodadas (2007), which features the regional Mexican hit single "El 80"; Grandes Corridos de La Sierra (2007), which features the follow-up hit "El 24" and also the hit "El Bazucazo"; and En Vivo Desde Hermosillo, Sonora (2008), a CD/DVD that includes in-concert video as well as audio. In the wake of these Univision albums and their featured hits, other labels began releasing El Tigrillo Palma albums of their own. In addition to the Sony BMG album releases Fiesta Privada con Banda (2008) and Norte?o y Chacaloso (2008), a trio of previously released albums originally on the independent label Morena Music -- Cant?ndole al Chaka (2005), Pistiando en la Sierra (2006), and Anda Alterada la Gente (2006) -- was reissued by Universal; meanwhile, EMI reissued a trio of albums originally on the independent label Aries Music Entertainment: Mis Rolas Mas Chidas, Vol. 1 (2007), Mis Rolas Mas Chidas, Vol. 2 (2007), and Mis Rolas Mas Chidas, Vol. 3 (2007).
