Venezuelan Latin rock band Fauna Crepuscular started playing Latin ska in the mid-'90s, participating in a local compilation called Caracas Underground and two records released internationally, Venezuela Ska and Latin Ska, Vol. ll. In 1997, Fauna Crepuscular joined Caracas' Festival Música En El Parque, a year later, performing live at la Experiencia Roja, a major local rock event. After touring around the country in 1999, the band started recording its debut album, called El Primero Siempre Es Rapido, produced by Alberto Cabello.
