F.I.L.T.H.E.E. Immigrants consists of Filthee, Rif, and Dutch, who were brought together in 1997 with the intent of creating something new for hip hop. Though hip hop is their foundation, one listen to their debut album and you'll see that their influences stretch far across the musical spectrum. With a strong emphasis on lyrical content, F.I. brings a mix of rebellious angst and intelligent satire, as well as energy reminiscent of Public Enemy, Rage Against The Machine, or The Clash.
For generally being known as an "underground" group, F.I. has quite a long list of accomplishments under their belt. While working with rock producer Scott Humphrie in 2000, they met and befriended Tommy Lee of Motley Cru. He asked the group to pen a song for him on his then up coming project Methods of Mayhem. What ensued was the mosh-pit favorite, "Proposition F**k You", that helped push Tommy's project to sell over 850,000 copies and garnished the group their first set of Gold Plaques. This was one of the main things that helped push the group into high visibility, gaining them performances on Ozzfest as well as a national tour in 2004 with Insane Clown Posse. They have also played with Cypress Hill, Dilated Peoples, Kanye West, and Busta Rhymes.
